Erik Bryld is busy asssisting in formulating a new phase of a justice-sector support programme in Vietnam. Finn, Katja and Malene is busy reviewing the Danish Arab Partneship Programme and assist Danida Fellowship Center in transferring courses to training institutions in East Africa.

Globalisation is making the world flat, it is being argued!!
Improved communication - telephones, broad band internet, container-traffic, etc. - computerised production tools and increased levels of education allow people in China and India to compete with the Western world. Outsourcing of much of the physical production of goods is the most obvious example, but also soft-ware development, help-desk and secretarial services are being outsourced.In this process, big parts of the third world, especially most of Africa - but also parts of South Asia and Latin America - are left behind. These parts are not being "flattened" - on the contrary. Poverty is rampant in these parts of the world - and even growing in Africa - while the rest of the world gets richer.
